How To Guide

How to Install the Convoke App

Convoke is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — the app IS the website, installable straight from your browser onto your phone, tablet, or computer. No app store, no separate download. Installed, Convoke gets its own icon and full-screen window, launches faster, and can deliver push notifications for checks, turns, and messages. Find your device below.

iPhone & iPad

Install on iPhone & iPad (Safari)

1. Open convokerpg.com in Safari — installation only works from Safari on iPhone and iPad. If you are reading this inside another app’s built-in browser (Instagram, Discord, Gmail), use its menu to choose “Open in Safari” first.

2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.

3. Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

4. From now on, open Convoke from its Home Screen icon — that is the app.

Good to know: if “Add to Home Screen” is missing, you are likely in a Private tab or a non-Safari browser. And on iPhone and iPad, push notifications only work from the installed app (iOS 16.4 or newer): open Convoke from its icon, turn on push in Settings → Notifications, and tap Allow when iOS asks.

Android

Install on Android (Chrome)

1. Open convokerpg.com in Chrome.

2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.

3. Tap Add to Home screen (on many devices it reads “Install app”) and confirm.

4. Launch Convoke from its icon — it opens in its own full-screen window.

Good to know: Samsung Internet works too: menu → “Add page to” → Home screen. If no install option appears, update your browser. Push notifications work in the browser on Android, but the installed app keeps them reliable.

Windows

Install on Windows (Chrome or Edge)

1. Open convokerpg.com in Chrome or Edge.

2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow) — or open the browser menu and choose “Install Convoke” (in Edge: Apps → “Install this site as an app”).

3. Click Install. Convoke gets its own window, taskbar icon, and Start menu entry.

Good to know: if notifications stay silent, check Windows Settings → System → Notifications: make sure Do Not Disturb is off and your browser is allowed to notify.

Mac

Install on Mac (Safari or Chrome)

Safari (macOS Sonoma or newer): open convokerpg.com, then choose File → Add to Dock… and click Add.

Chrome: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the menu and choose “Install Convoke”, then click Install.

Good to know: notifications arrive through macOS Notification Center — click Allow when asked, and if they stay silent check System Settings → Notifications (and your Focus modes).

Notifications

Turn On Push Notifications

Once installed, open Convoke from its icon, go to Settings → Notifications, and switch on the alerts you want — then accept the permission prompt from your device. On iPhone and iPad this only works from the installed Home Screen app; on other platforms it also works in the browser, but the installed app is the dependable path.

For the full walkthrough of choosing which alerts you get, see “How to Get Push Notifications” on the How-To Guides page.

Troubleshooting

If Something Doesn’t Work

Can’t find the install option? You are probably in a private/incognito window, an in-app browser, or an outdated browser — open a normal tab in Safari (iPhone/Mac) or Chrome/Edge and try again.

Already installed? The install control disappears once the app is on your device — open Convoke from your Home Screen, Dock, or Start menu.

Want a clean start? Remove the Convoke icon like any app, then repeat the steps above.
