How To Guide
How to Use Quests
Quests turn "what should we do next?" into a clear, rewarding goal. A GM or a player writes one up, attaches it to the campaign, and hands it out — or posts it for anyone to grab. Players tick off shared objectives, and finishing pays out automatically. Let us walk through it.
Step 1
Write a Quest
Open the Quests section of your campaign. Either the GM or a player can author a quest: give it a title and description, add a checklist of objectives, and choose one of the built-in quest archetypes to get started fast. Set the rewards — experience points, coin, and even specific items.
Step 2
Attach It, Then Hand It Out
Attach the quest to your campaign, then decide how it reaches players. Assign it directly to one or more characters, or post it to the job board as a self-accept quest that any player can pick up when they are ready. Board quests are perfect for side jobs and open-world play.
Step 3
Track Shared Objectives
Once a quest is in play, everyone working it sees the same objective checklist. As the party makes progress, tick objectives off — the checklist is shared for the quest, so the whole group stays in sync on what is done and what is left.
Step 4
Complete It for Automatic Rewards
When the last objective is done, complete the quest and Convoke pays out the rewards automatically — experience, coin, and any items land where they belong. Leveling up stays in your hands: the XP is awarded, but you decide when a character actually levels. One click closes the loop from "quest given" to "reward earned."
Step 5
Keep the Adventures Coming
That is the full loop: author, attach, track, complete, reward — with none of the manual bookkeeping. Whether you are doling out the main story or filling a job board with side gigs, quests keep your table moving. Go post one and see who bites!
